One-A-Day 11

One-A-Day: A Daily Dose of Wisdom

This post is part of a series called One-A-Day: A Daily Dose of Wisdom.

*Read Proverbs 11
Questions for Reflection:

  1. Consider this definition of humble (Prov. 11:2): Those who are lowly, who have been pruned or chiseled by trial, and renounce self.  Again consider your trials, God's discipline, and where your confidence resides.
  2. Have you considered that sometimes the Lord frustrates our plans when our desires are not of him? How does this change your perspective of determination? Read Numbers 22:21-39 for additional insight. Ask the Lord for discernment to determine when it is His Spirit standing in your way or the spirit of the world frustrating God's plan.
  3. As you read Proverbs 11, turn each bit of advise into your personal prayer. Read it in different versions and let the Lord highlight His message to you.
