Questions for Reflection:
- A major theme in Proverbs is discipline. How does discipline translate into wisdom and true life?
- Proverbs 12:28 says the way of righteousness brings (abundant, rich, full) life, and this life is eternal. Remembering that righteousness comes to us by faith alone (Rom 1:7), what is the way (path) of righteousness?
- Could it be that the path of righteousness is for us, and not something we do for God? What does it mean, “The righteous will live by faith?” Ask the Lord to reveal this to you.
- What role does the Holy Spirit play in the path of righteousness? Consider obedience to the Holy Spirit as a lifestyle and how that might relate to the path of righteousness in Proverbs.
- Are you one who listens to wise council? Ask the Lord to reveal this plainly to you.
