One-A-Day 31

This post is part of a series called One-A-Day: A Daily Dose of Wisdom.

*Read Proverbs 31
Questions for Reflection:

  1. Human tendency is to read Prov. 31 and set a standard of behavior for the virtuous woman. Read this passage and allow it to feed your spiritual life. Instead of (only) viewing what is seen on the surface of such a woman, allow the Lord to reveal the virtue beyond the surface. Let that be the focus of your heart today and always.
  2. What is the danger in setting a (visible) standard of virtue? Is it our own effort which makes us valuable?
  3. Consider Prov. 31:30. What makes the value of the virtuous woman “far above rubies”?
  4. How has your understanding of reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord grown in the past 31 days?
  5. Reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the foundation of life in Christ. Our secret is the Holy Spirit, in whom we possess all divine revelation. Consider this reality in your own life. Does your spiritual and practical devotion to God permeate every area of your life? What happens to our relationships as a result?
