One-A-Day: A Daily Dose of Wisdom

*Read Proverbs 9
Questions for Reflection:
- Are you open and teachable like the wise man? (9:4-9) Ask the Lord to reveal the condition of your heart.
- Is there a good kind of fear? (9:10) What is the difference between fear of the Lord and fear of death/punishment?
- What happens to our fear as we obey the Lord? Follow the progression mentioned in vs. 10 and 11 from fear to eternal life.
- We work to please those whom we fear. Are you a man-pleaser or a God-pleaser? One leads to death and disappointment and the other leads to true life. Ponder these things and allow the Spirit to reveal the truth about your motivations.
- If fear prompts obedience, and obedience leads to understanding, what happens to our fear as we gain Wisdom? (See 1 John 4:18)
